Jhonnatan Gama Vazquez

Graduate Student

Jhonnatan is a PhD candidate in the Stanford University Department of Physics. In 2021 he received a BS in Physics and Mathematics from Instituto Politécnico Nacional in Mexico, where he performed undergraduate research on space weather and solar physics. His current research focuses on theory and simulation of astrophysical and laboratory plasmas. In particular, he studies particle acceleration in collisionless shocks and laser-plasma interactions. Jhonnatan enjoys participating in science communication events. Outside of academics, Jhonnatan likes traveling, reading and playing music.
